Zooming in
Sought out for his signature broken glass art, Yorgos ran into a turning point for his practice in 2008. With fascination for the fluidity in solid matter, a commission for an artwork to be part of a villa built primarily out of concrete and glass, Zooming in looks at how concrete forms and bubbles get trapped in its curing. The work takes on the language of change, impermanence and the setting of concrete in different stages, frozen in laminated glass.
