Amitabha at the London Design Festival

To celebrate the London Design Festival at Chelsea Design Quarter, an exquisite artwork by Yorgos is on display at luxury surface specialist De Ferranti. This beautiful Red Buddha is the ideal symbol of welcome for the late night opening of the Chelsea Design Quarter.

Created by Yorgos, Buddha Amitabha — the red Buddha — is very welcoming and hospitable. Often seated in lotus position, the red Buddha is in a state of balance and is always associated with the attributes of the lotus: gentleness, openness and other receptive qualities.

‘I’m very honoured to be displaying my painting in glass at De Ferranti’s showroom,’ says Yorgos. ‘Their emporium has a wide variety of luxury surfaces that are rare and unusual, so my shattered glass panel sits very well amongst their treasure trove of tiles.’
